Our VisionOur performance teams (Toxik, Kure, and Kontagious) are highly focused on bringing expression, connection, and energy to the stage for all types of performances throughout the year.
On Sick, members will still focus on those same aspects with an even greater focus on their technical training given that in competition you will be judged and scored on the caliber and execution of your performance. Members of Sick will not only receive additional training that furthers their progress as dancers but it will also provide another avenue of achievement and goal setting within their passion for dance. Members interested in Sick should expect to be pushed harder and held to a higher standard then currently seen in the core teams while also having the opportunity to be recognized for their hard work! |
History Of "Sick"Throughout the years Sick has been through many changes and generations.
Starting as an all-kids team, the next variation was consisting of A-Team members (Shumon, Ivan, Camille, Katleigha) who’s names spell out "SICK" , then transitioning to KPC's all boys team consisting of most of the boys from Toxik, Kure & Kontagious, the latest rendition of Sick is now meant to open up new opportunities and a higher caliber of training for our members. Though the team has been shaped by many different styles and visions, Sick has always been an extension of KPC and the ultimate goal has always been to provide more focused training for members to experience in a new but familiar way. |
The CommitmentAll members will been signing up for a full year commitment starting in June.
Members of Sick will have weekly team practices, as well as 2 additional classes based around other styles and disciplines such as Ballet, Breakdancing, and Tumbling. These additional classes will not only help members become well rounded dancers but will also prepare them for our next season when they will have the opportunity to compete in additional categories if they want to. Overall the regular commitment for members is 4-hours a week not including scheduled competitions/events. In addition to these practices and classes members will also train and compete at Monsters Dance Convention in Seattle (usually in March) lodging, transportation, and registration for these trips/competitions will be covered with your monthly tuition. Sick may also be invited to perform for shows alongside Toxik, Kure, and Kontagious but practices will be prioritized to prepare for upcoming competitions. Practice schedules depend Classes and Placements/Competing Category. |
Placements/Competing CategoriesKPC has a strong foundation in Hip Hop dance which will still be our main focus during the 2026-27 season, but this year we plan to split the team into different categories to better focus on our members and their training.
