Kenny Russell started his dance training when he was 12 years old by taking Hip Hop classes at the Lynnwood Recreation Center and then transitioning into the company team of Kontagious Performing Company where he soon found his belonging. While training with KPC as a member he had the opportunity to perform at numerous shows throughout the year and participate in domestic and international trips From Los Angeles and Phoenix to Paris and Tokyo where he and his other team members had the chance to experience Hip Hop from the perspectives of people all over the world as well as experience the cultures of these different places.
After years of training as a KPC member Kenny later wanted to pursue something greater such as being on the KPC A-Team, after auditioning two times 1 year apart from each date Kenny was able to become a captain on KPC where he had the opportunity to start teaching classes, choreographing for performances, and as well as planning for shows and other events. Since Kenny became a part of the KPC A-Team he has continued to grow as a teacher and leader and is now the Assistant Director for KPC.
Throughout his time training with KPC Kenny has obtained many experiences and skills with Graphic Design, Event Planning, Music Engineering and Recording, Beat Production, DJing, Singing and Rapping, and of course dancing! He is super excited to share these experiences, for you to learn from him, and for him to learn from you.
